Privacy policy.
This page explains what information somepage.com collects, why, and what we do with it. We try to keep it short because we don't collect much.
What we collect
Two things, basically:
- Things you send us. If you email [email protected], we get whatever you put in the email (your address, the message, any attachments).
- Standard web server logs. Every request to the site is logged with IP address, timestamp, requested URL, browser user-agent, and referrer. Standard stuff. Used for security and debugging.
That's the whole list. We don't run analytics. We don't set cookies. We don't have a tracking pixel.
Third parties
The site loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see the IP address of visitors when fonts are fetched. Google's privacy practices are documented at policies.google.com/privacy.
Inbound mail to [email protected] is routed by Cloudflare Email Routing and delivered to a Google Workspace mailbox.
The site is fronted by Cloudflare, who sees request metadata for caching and security. Their data practices are at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for about two weeks and then rotated out. Email correspondence is kept as long as there's a working business reason, then archived or deleted.
Who we share it with
Nobody, unless we're compelled by law. We don't sell data, we don't trade it, we don't have an advertising relationship with anyone.
Your rights
If you want a copy of any data we hold about you, or you want it deleted, email [email protected] and ask. We'll handle it.
Changes
If this policy changes in any meaningful way, the date at the top of this page will move. There's no announcement list.
